This sheltering refuge does not confine itself to lusciious stylized flora and fauna that dwell in peace. Instead it doubles, twists and distorts the fine geometry of this stone arbour into a roiling challenge to good order. Untidy garden fences, vines and rubble intrude. Unwelcome creatures lurk in the shadows. Bower takes a variety of forms. It is an spectator controlled immersive image environment. It is also a suite of digital prints. Six horizontal images can link end-to-end to create an endless a frieze-like continuum for print installations. A series of roundel images extend and challenge the relationship of nature and culture.
