ILONA NEWTON
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Ilona has received her Russian ballet training, as a scholarship student in Budapest from Miss Antonia Sandor, a former principal dancer of the National Ballet of Hungary.

Ilona has also studied rhythmic gymnastics from a famous gymnastics teacher, Miss Sara Bercik, who was an Olympic Committee Advisor.

Ilona has performed all over Hungary with the Hungarian Ballet Troupe in her teens. She received a gold medal in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the National Competition. She also studied singing, drama, and modeled for a prominent company.

In coming to Canada, she studied the Cecchetti Syllabus and became a Full Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.

She has been teaching for the past seventeen years, and her competitive students have received numerous first place awards.

In April 2000, Ilona received the Overall Outstanding Choreography Award in Ballet at the Foot Loose International Competition where over 30 schools were participating in this dance event.

Miss Ilona is a teacher who loves to work with children and adults of all ages.
