Yoga Classes

Yoga Beginner 1

·      If you've never attended a yoga class before, come and join us and discover the joy of yoga.

 

Yoga Beginner 2 and Yoga Intermediate

·      These classes are suitable to those who have attended yoga classes before and wish to continue their discovery.

 

Yoga For 50+

·      This is a gentle class that is geared for students in older bodies. Learn to breath, relax and ease tension.

 

Meditation  

Body as Path
This series of classes  will be for those who have either previously taken classes with Jack , or who have a  background in meditation. Jack will explore meditations that use awareness of body as the main object. These meditations are an excellent way to deepen ones meditation practice and gain greater stability in mind and body.
 

  Belly Dancing

Develop grace and strength through this ancient and sensuous dance.  Learn basic movement and combinations.  A great way to get fit.

Janel Waddams has been teaching music, dance and fitness for over 10 years.

 

Yin Yoga

Is an inward practice of seated and reclining poses held for 3 - 5 minutes that work the hips, pelvis and lower spine of the body. The long held poses stimulate connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) which creates more flexibility in the joints than a traditional "yang" or muscular tissue practice which focuses more on movements which stress the fibers of the muscles.

The yoga postures found in a yin practice can also be beneficial to the entire body due to the effects on the meridians of the body as found in traditional Chinese medicine. A yin yoga class is a welcome complement to a more active "yang" style of yoga or athletics

that emphasize the lengthening and contracting of the muscles. Some yoga experience is suggested.


The Humanistic Yoga Centre Policies

·      Class fees include HST.

·      10% Student Discount.

·      10% Second class or family member discount.

·      You are welcome to join at anytime – classes will be pro rated for the remaining classes.

·      Registration cannot be taken without payment or deposit. (Post-dated cheques are acceptable.)

·       Registration is required, if registration is low – classes may be postponed or cancelled.

·      Missed classes must be made up in the same term – there are no refunds. If you are making up a class make sure that the class is running and that it is not full.

·      Drop in Fee: $19.

·      10 Class Card - $170.00 ( Valid for 1 year )

·      We accept cash, cheques, Visa and MasterCard.

·      We do Yoga – we’re flexible.
