The PCT in this area is a rugged, dry trail. During 1998, a year of El Nino weather changes, it was especially dry. Any year that you plan to travel here, you'll have to keep an eye on the next watering hole and use your water accordingly. The only suitable method of purifying water on a long tour is to filter it. |
