This tour of the Pacific Crest Trail begins here in Stevenson, Washington. The PCT is over 2,700 miles long and runs from Mexico to Canada, through California, Oregon, and Washington. In Washington, the trail runs along the Cascade range, near Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier, Mount Adams and other volcanic peaks. Stevenson is reached by bus or airport taxi from Portland Oregon, about 50 miles away. From Stevenson we picked up the trail at the Panther creek Campground. On this hike we covered 130 miles over six days of walking. |
