Based on the framework of a standard AT used in high value shipping, the Orca has been modified to a passenger craft of unsurpassed protection. The armour has been upgraded to diplomat-class sheilding and further strengthened by an off-world bonding process that remains classified. The standard driver compartment has been replaced with a high impact transparent lidium cockpit dome used on meteorite mining rigs, offering complete views of the area while providing maximum protection. The passenger compartment is sealed off from the driver's area by a magnetic door and is further insulated by another 100mm of tritium and lidium windows with bonded treatment. Along with an independent life support system and a magentically sealed egress hatch, the client is both safe and comfortable. The standard propulsion package has been upgraded to include two racing class plasma turbines, capable of propelling the Orca to speeds in excess of 600kph. 2 additional aerograv pods and vectoring turbines allow the craft to gain a maximum altitude of 0.5 km and a cruising ceiling of 0.3 km. To ensure there are no surprises upon arrival, the Orca is equipped with an independent aeromech, linked to the craft's AAI (Almost Aritifical Intelligence). The aeromech, or Mouse as it is called, is linked both to the ship and the operator by subcutaneous transmitter. Towed by magentic tether at cruising speeds, the Mouse uncouples and provides reconaissance and protection from aggressors during client transfers with it's high voltage taser emitter . |
