Private Lessons are made by appointment only and are $60.00 per one hour session, (within City of Windsor). Essex, Harrow, Kingsville and Leamington and LaSalle $80.00 per hour.

The Benefits of Private Training

There are many reasons why private, personalized training is better than group classes for both you and your dog.

Here are some things for you to think about.

You get to do training on your schedule, not someone else's.
You receive one-on-one personal attention, which assures all of your questions will be answered, and all of your goals will be met.
The training is set around your dog and his needs and personality - it is not a "cookie cutter" training course. One size does not fit all!
We can schedule one lesson, or more spaced over a few weeks, which is easier on your schedule and budget.
You do not have to miss lessons due to other engagements or travel.
You start in your house or at my location, in a comfortable setting for both you and your dog.
There are too many distractions for focused training in a classroom setting.
A dog (and especially a puppy) cannot concentrate for a full hour, so we take time to work, time to play, and time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
You know you're getting a dedicated trainer - and the owner of HappyPuppy Training School™ - to work with. You are not getting a trainee of a trainer or training program. Many other training facilities have several junior trainers, who are trained in only one method. So, even if they do come to your house, you do not know what the quality/experience of your trainer will be, and they will be following someone else's training rules, not creating a personalized program for your and your dog's needs.
I am available to answer questions during training, between lessons, and even after training is completed.
I am located in Central Windsor, and will travel to your home if you are unable to come to my location.
I truly love dogs and want the best for them and their owners.

If your busy lifestyle prevents you from coming to my home, or you are Physically Unable to, I am happy to come to your home!

If you would prefer to train your dog at home, by taking a series of private in-home lessons, we are pleased to offer you that option. We can cover the basic skills, or customize each session to suit your particular needs.

Each lesson is customized to suit your needs and the needs of your dog.

About me

Hello! My name is Geri and I am the owner and trainer at HappyPuppy™ Training School.
What started as a desire to find the answers to the problems I was having with my own
dogs, lead me on an amazing journey, that will undoubtedly lead to many happy and wonderful things yet to come. The more I researched, the more I learned, and the learning continues today.
I have found training my own dogs, to be one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
By studying, reading, and years of practice, I have been able to do with my dogs, what was
once, only in my imagination. There are no limits to what you can do with your dog.
I am presently furthering my education in working towards completing my certification as a
professional dog trainer, and in the meantime have decided to share my hobby, and knowledge with others. I am also a member the Canadian Association Of Professional Dog Trainers.
I currently share my home and life with Chase, my beloved 5 year old male Rough Collie, and
Dash, my 8 month old Border Collie/Australian Working Kelpie.

I look forward to the opportunity to assist you giving your puppy the best start in life he
or she could have, and helping you to improve your line of communication with your dog,
making obedience and good manners a way of life, so that you can live together, in

Hello,

I would like to recommend Geri as a wonderfully knowledgeable and caring dog trainer. When we picked up our puppy at six weeks old, we had Geri come out a few days later. I found that she was a tremendous help to me and to my husband and our two children. Although I had done some reading (The Dog Whisper) and felt fairly confident, I still learned a lot by watching Geri with Sidney. My kids also learned a lot from her as she really did train us to train the pup! My son has sometimes reminded me of little hints that Geri left that I may have forgotten so collectively we all contribute the things that we remember and are training her together as a family. I really don’t feel we would be as successful with Sidney at this point without such a great start with Geri.

I am writing this to let others know about the quality and knowledge base of
Geri Klingbile.

I purchased a new puppy in January 2005.  I have never owned a dog and did
not have a clue.

Geri has helped me through many very frustrating situations where that
little puppy turned my house upside down.  She immediately gets me the
information I need and it is accurate because it works. My dog is the truth
of that.  He is ten months old.  He currently sits on command, no longer
chews anything but his own blanket.  (Stopped chewing shoes, furniture and
anything else he could get his teeth on).  He comes when called and sits and
stays when instructed to do so.

He even does this when other dogs are around thanks to Geri teaching me to
walk him around distractions to teach him to obey.  I am very grateful and
appreciate all that Geri has done because our family was not used to a dog
and it may have been a disaster if I had not trained puppy quick.  We still
have a long way to go but with Geri's advice and guidance I have no worries.

I have known Geri for many years.  I first met her through our love of horses,

and I can say Geri was one of the best owner/trainers I have ever gotten to

work with. I have watched her work with her dogs, and other pets over the years

and I always enjoy watching her interact with them.  You can see she loves the

animals, and that they end up loving and respecting her. She has very strict

standards, both personally and professionally, about how an animal should be

cared for, and has never tolerated anything she considered abusive, no matter
