Improve posture, muscle tone and flexibility while reducing stress and boosting your energy in this concentrated 1 hour active practice designed to warm up, invigorate, and then relax the body and refresh and refocus the mind to get over the midweek hump. We leave the rest of the week at the door and work through the body towards calming our restless minds so that we can be more fully present for our lives, and direct our energy into more productive channels. We will focus on proper breathing, alignment of the body, and our areas of most common complaint: hamstrings, hips, lower back, core strength, and shoulders/neck. Please bring yoga mat and water.

 Muscular Strength Training

Core Conditioning
(Novice Style) Learn the ABC’s of AB/Core Strength & Conditioning
Good core conditioning takes more time than a few minutes at the end of your regular workout routine. In this 13 week session, you will learn which muscle groups make up the ‘core’, proper ‘core’ techniques to perform different exercises to strengthen & tone these muscle groups, and a stretch segment to improve posture & flexibility so that we can achieve that lean, strong look. This class is filled with exercises and stretches that will help tighten up that ‘core’ and condition the body and make you feel great.

Total Core Solution
Lately you can’t open a magazine without seeing an article about core strength and training. But what is true core strength and why does it matter? The core consists of your abdominal, back and hip muscles - basically, everything from shoulder to hip. Core strength is important for power, posture, agility and stability - as an athlete and in everyday life. This intermediate class incorporates pilates, yoga and body weight stability into a challenging mix to strengthen you to the core. Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water.
