  One Day Clinic  
     
  This program is designed to put you on the fast track to your triathlon goals.  Learn the skills, find out the secrets, and leave at the end of the day with a training plan that will get you to where you want to go.  
     
  Date: Saturday, June 5, 2010  
  Facilitator: Geordie McConnell, Head Coach, Ottawa Triathlon Club  
  Atmosphere: Relaxed, fun, inclusive (appropriate for all levels)  
  Activity Level: Sessions will feature short bouts of activity to practice skills.  This is not a physical conditioning camp.  
  Content: 900 - 1030 Swim Session - 90min. Britannia Beach  
        - Putting on and taking off a wetsuit*
- Pre-race warm up
- Open water swim skills and drills
* Wetsuits are optional but highly recommended.
Rent a suit from Fresh Air Experience.
 
        What to bring:
- Swim or tri suit - come with your swim suit on as there won’t be any changing facilities.
- Goggles
- Swim cap: silicone caps are warmer than latex
- Towel
- Warm clothes (ie fleece, track bottoms)
 
         
    1130 - 1300 Working Lunch - Program Planning OTC Studio  
        - You'll be taken through the planning process step by step
- The coach will advise you on all aspects and help you create your own plan
- You will leave with a personalized training program
 
        What to bring:
- pencil(s)
- clipboard or book to serve as writing surface
- lunch
 
         
    1300 - 1500 Bike Session - 2hr Tunney's Pasture  
        - Bike fit (your own bike fit will be reviewed by the coach)
- Key biking skills and drills
- Triathlon-specific bike skills
- Bike maintenance
 
        What to bring:
- biking equipment: bike, helmet, shoes, sunglasses
 
         
    1500 - 1630 Run and Transitions Session - 90min. Tunney's Pasture  
        - Run technique and drills
- Proper warm-ups and dynamic stretching
- Tips and practice on executing smooth and speedy transitions
 
        What to bring (everything!):
- Swim equipment: swim/tri suit, wetsuit, goggles, towel
- Bike equipment: bike, helmet, shoes, sunglasses
- Run equipment: shoes, hat
- Optional equipment: number belt, water bottle belt
