HMS/M Unseen

Below is a collection of photographs of HMS/M Unseen, taken mainly around Nova Scotia, Canada and the East Coast of the USA during the Second World War.

They were sent to me by Roger Frost, whose uncle, Len Gane served on the boat during this time. Len is second from left of the picture on the left of the top two below, with the ships company displaying both their Jolly Roger flag and what appears to be the ship's cat! The pictures, especially with the aircraft, are quite rare and were probably originally developed and printed in the USA, and not subject to censorship. The aircraft, which I believe is a Hudson, was obviously exercising its anti-submarine tactics with the Unseen, as was the ship whose quarter deck can be seen in one shot, with a following aircraft, and with another view while passing the Unseen.
