Watercolour, 1997.

This was my first attempt at a watercolour portrait using traditonal watercolour techniques, though somewhat on the "dry" side. In addition to the challenge of depicting the facial features, I was interested in bringing out the texture, weight and folds of the material of the jacket as well as the details and play of light of the jewelry.
