Notes

Webster Groves is a suburb of St. Louis which is where Streetside Records was located

at 34 S. Old Orchard Road

This is a compilation compiled from 4 different sources

all having this performance as either the performance setting or the background loops replayed.

(a) A virtually perfect recording from a KSAN-FM broadcast on 07/28/79

It was reportedly titled “Music for Streets” for purposes of the broadcast.

It was also replayed in reverse and aptly titled “Music for Wrongways”.

The backing loop for “1983” as it appears on the “God Save The Queen” LP

was also broadcast along with a partial replay also in reverse.

Apparently it was titled “Music for Backwards Ladies” and

“Music for Madams” which is a reference to it’s place of creation.

“1983” was created on 07/25/79 - Early Show at Madame Wong’s in Los Angeles, CA

(b) Remastered from the ‘Coast to Coast’ Double Vinyl LP

(c) A replay experiment announced by Fripp recorded at Madame Wong’s in Los Angeles 7/26/79

(d) An FM radio interview on KROQ-FM 106.7 from Los Angeles, CA on 07/23/79

where Fripp plays his own backing loops taken from this show (specifically identified as such)

over which much of the interview is conducted.
