Notes
An omitted discussion from the show on June 27, 1979 also at the Kitchen has been inserted at the appropriate time in this show.
1918 is already in progress as the recorder enters the venue. Some distortion on the recording begins about 11 minutes into the replay version 1916 Over 1918 and continues until the end of the recording. A few splices and dropouts also occur from this point onwards. The ending was clipped off and splices directly into a solo that leads into 1906 Over 1917. This has been somewhat repaired.
Some issues with the source recording, likely due to fading batteries results in some pitch shifting, most notably in 1906 Over 1917. The distorting gets progressively more pronounced. Hence the lower sound grading for that piece.
The discussion comes from the show on June 27, 1979 and is included here, as it would not fit onto that disc.
1918 is a more complete version of the 11-1/2 minute piece found on the Coast to Coast vinyl bootleg LP.
Fripp gave out various cassettes of J.G. Bennett lectures at these Kitchen shows. |
