Notes
This is a composite comprised mainly from a transfer direct from the master cassette from the taper, which has been left untouched aside from a pitch correction down by 49 cents.
An earlier but 2nd or 3rd generation transfer from this same master tape, was used to fill in missing dialogue and applause only. This was also pitch corrected down by 109 cents.
According to the taper, there were other tapers present at this show, yet none of these alternate versions have ever surfaced.
Fripp mentions that as of this time, this show is the largest in scale being about twice his preferred event size, which I assume means there were probably about 250 in attendance.
1807 Over 1808 includes Fripp playing the main theme from King Crimson’s Starless.
A splice occurred in 1808 at around the 16:10 minute mark and lasted for about 3 minutes before resuming. This missing section has been restored using the identical section from 1807 Over 1808.
The “stereo remix” version of 1808 ceases at the moment of this tape splice.
On June 17, 1979 - Alexandria, Virginia, Fripp replays this loop as background for new solos.
