Notes
Remastered and pitch corrected with most dropouts etc. meticulously repaired.
This is the longest available version of this show to surface. A gap of undetermined length occurred after Wind on Wind II, presumably during a change of tapes. If they followed the sequence of events of the Paris Olympia show, they may have performed “Wind on Lava” during this gap, which bridged “Wind on Wind” and “Wind on Fire” for that performance.
Other versions of this recording have surfaced, but have the order reversed. Likely due to an incorrect post-assessment of the running order of the tape “sides”.
For all shows prior to the 1979 World Tour, Fripp had not yet begun to utilize signal by-pass switches, which provided the ability to make “beeping” sounds or square wave volume envelopes. All guitar notes were either “swept in” via the volume pedal or played directly.
