Ulie was born in Zimmerberge, Switzerland. He resided in Zimmerberg (small mountain), Canton Zurich.

2 Hans Buman b. approx 1395 d. 1420
Born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. According to tax records, Hans Buman inherited a farm. He paid taxes from 1409 to 1420.

3 Peter Buman b. approx 1420 d. 1501
m. approx 1446 Greta Widmer b. 1425
Peter was probably born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. Peter Buman paid taxes in Zimmerberg from 1455 to 1501.

4 Uly Widmer Buman b. 1449 d. 1491
Probably born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. Uly Buman moved to Rennimattle, but later returned to Zimmerberg.

5 Hans Buman b. approx 1470 d. 1555

Hans Buman resided in Luttermoss and Wyenbach. He paid taxes from 1491 to 1555

6 Gross Hans Big John Lehmann Buman approx b. 1505 d. 1559
Born in Switzerland, he paid taxes at Wuriback, Switzerland from 1527 to 1559. Three children are recorded:

Cleinhans Buman was possibly born in Kuhwile, Switzerland. He died in Durrenmoos. He paid taxes from 1557 to 1606 in Kuhweile (cattle pasture), Switzerland. Margaret Suter was also born in Switzerland.

Junghans Buman was born in Ober Durrenmoos, Gmnd Hirzel, Horgenberg, Switzerland, and died in Durrenmoos. There is a possibility than Elsbeth's surname was Russioni.

Hans Baumann was baptized on 26 Dec1636 in Herzel and lived in Durrenmoos, Switzerland. He died in Rotterdam, Holland. Anna Santmann was born in Switzerland.

Descendants of Wendel Bauman

Wendel Bauman was born in Thun, Canton of Bern, Switzerland in 1681. He was a coppersmith by trade and was a Swiss Mennonite. Wendel Bauman and eight other Mennonites arrived in Philadelphia in October 1709. The nine heads of families arranged with William Penn's agents and the Provincial surveyor for 10,000 acres of land on the Pequa Creek in the wilderness sixty miles west of Philadelphia, which is now in Lancaster County and just four miles south-east of the present site of the city of Lancaster.
