Born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. According to tax records, Hans Buman inherited a farm. He paid taxes from 1409 to 1420.

Peter was probably born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. Peter Buman paid taxes in Zimmerberg from 1455 to 1501.

4 Uly Widmer Buman b. 1449 d. 1491
Probably born in Zimmerberg, Switzerland. Uly Buman moved to Rennimattle, but later returned to Zimmerberg.

Descendants of Wendel Bauman

Wendel Bauman was born in Thun, Canton of Bern, Switzerland in 1681. He was a coppersmith by trade and was a Swiss Mennonite. Wendel Bauman and eight other Mennonites arrived in Philadelphia in October 1709. The nine heads of families arranged with William Penn's agents and the Provincial surveyor for 10,000 acres of land on the Pequa Creek in the wilderness sixty miles west of Philadelphia, which is now in Lancaster County and just four miles south-east of the present site of the city of Lancaster.
