What Have I Done?
I know they're mad, what have I done?
Just last night I had great fun.
I saw a crack which looked as though,
There may be rabbits down below!
I sniffed and smelled and walked around,
And then I scratched until I found,
A space to see this rabbit's den,
Can you guess what I did then?
I pulled and tugged and soon I saw,
A bigger hole which held a paw.
I pushed it down and pulled some more,
And soon I'd lifted all the floor.
There were no rabbits to be seen,
Just a mess where I had been.
I rested then and fell asleep,
And dreamed of rabbits, round my feet.

The morning came, I wagged my tail,
But now they say that I'm for sale.
I only did what doggies do,
This isn't fair, I'm feeling blue.
I love my home and folks and friends,
Don't shut me out, I'll make amends.
I promise now that I'll be good,
And never, ever, dig up wood.
