Sparky

Poor Sparky isn’t feeling well,
His ear is sore, yes, I can tell,
‘Cause he just doesn’t want to play,
And tells me “Wizard, go away!

Just leave me here to get some rest,
Some days you really are a pest!”
I feel so sorry for my friend,
I hope he’ll soon be on the mend.

They’ve taken him to see the vet,
Who’s wise and kind with any pet,
He’ll find out why poor Sparky’s sore,
And make him right as rain once more.

I hear the car! They’re home at last,
Sparky looks a bit downcast!
He’s got to have his ear washed out,
He won’t like that, there is no doubt!

He doesn’t like his fur being wet,
I’m sure he’s feeling quite upset.
I think I’ll just leave him alone,
‘Til all this washing out is done!

He must be feeling better now,
Although he made an awful row,
I don’t know why he miaowed like that,
It’s only water, scaredy-cat!
