A Message From Sparky

Wizard isn't here today.
So now I'll have a chance to say,
How all this fame has turned his head,
I wish they'd pictured me instead!

My name is Sparky, I'm the cat
I think that Wizard told you that.
I saw his picture on the net,
It really got me quite upset!

I know he's cute and cuddly too,
But don't believe all he tells you!
He barks and jumps and runs around,
While I sit here and make no sound!

I don't make holes in kitchen floors,
I don't scrape paintwork from the doors,
I don't steal food - well not a lot,
And if I do - I don't get caught!

But Wizard! Well, what can I say?
All he ever does is play!
He's never caught a bird or mouse,
And he's not good around the house.

He plays in mud and then runs in,
And leaves his prints which show he's been,
Running up and down the stairs,
And jumping up on beds and chairs!

But after all, he is my friend,
Although we fight, it's just pretend!
I'm pleased his picture's on the net,
But watch for mine - the SMARTEST pet!
