About the Artist
Elizabeth is a contemporary artist working in photography, printmaking, painting, watercolor, digital paintings, short conceptual photographic flash animation, and site specific installations. Elizabeth turned her back on a 22-year accounting career to pursue her life long dream. She received her B.F.A. in 2000 at the University of Windsor, where she majored in Photography and pursued a minor in painting.
Elizabeth's large scale figurative watercolors are quietly sensual. Using the figure as her base, she abstracts the human form with color. Flooding her paper with vivid, thick pools of juicy watercolor allowing the paint to move where it will. The final result belays the fact that the painting is a watercolor.
Her photographic tribute to her father in the book "Don't Grow Old," shows her deep compassion for the elderly.
Printmaking is another passion. The process of working an intaglio plate is challenging, yet rewarding. Currently, she is the Treasurer of Windsor Printmaker's Forum, an artist run non-profit organization located in Windsor, Ontario.
