Show Bengals

 of Rosettea Cattery

11

Below are a few fun pictures of my experiences at an average weekend cat show.  I travel from coast to coast across Canada & the U.S.A. to show my Bengals.  It has been a wonderful experience for me, as I have met many interesting people and seen many beautiful cats along the way!

My Show Display

I display up to 4 plexi-glass cages which are use for exhibition only.  The public has a great view of my Bengals as the cats are able to relax peacefully in their beds.

Receiving the ribbons

Receiving The Ribbons
Cat shows are held throughout the year and a 'champagning cat' may show 1 to 2 shows monthly.  This career is not meant for the average cat.  These show cats must enjoy traveling by car or airplane, staying away from home in hotels and being handled by strangers (the judges).

It takes a very special cat to be a great show cat!!!

At the end of the show season both Regional & National points are totaled.

After Avalanche's points were added  up, he received Regional top honours of 'Best Kitten' in Ontario.

Once the Regional Awards are calculated, then the National Awards are celebrated at our Awards Banquet Dinner.  There the trophies are awarded.
Avalanche received top honours of 'Best Kitten' in Canada.  This is the highest possible award that is handed out in the Kitten Class by the Canadian Cat Association.

MGrCh Millwood Inner Safari of Rosettea CNW

Safari was my first show Bengal.  He was the ambassador of the Bengal breed into Canada in the mid 90's.  He handled wonderfully with the judges and made the audience gasp as he was placed on the judge's table.
During Safari's show career, he achieved 5th Best Cat Nationally and 4th Best Cat Regionally.  This was quite an honor for the Bengal breed at the time.

I also enjoyed showing one of my pet Bengals named Sizzler.  He was shown as an Alter.
During his show season, he competed neck'n neck against a judge's Abyssinian cat.  Not that I am saying that there was any prejudice, but Sizzler ended up winning 2nd Best Alter Nationally and 2nd Best Alter Regionally!
