Substance & Drug Abuse:

Start these in the fall, the sooner the better. It's best to get it done right away when kids are just getting back to school and begin to get settled in. I need all posters and essays to be sent to the regional chairman by the end of January 2009.

Remember that all participants and winners should receive certificates for their work and effort.

All Substance Abuse Program entries need to be sent to the regional chairman by the end of January 2009. Address will be provided to Councils.

Sporting Events:

Basketball Free Throw Competition

Appoint your chairperson as soon as possible. The following are important dates for the competition:

Council Championship: Month of January
District Championship: February 6th
School - St. Bernard Catholic School on Meldrum (near Walker Rd) in Windsor
Regional Championship: End of February/First weekend of March
Place to be announced.

Soccer Challenge

Council Level: Must be done by September 1st, 2008
District Level: September 6th, 2008 at Croatia National Sport Club, 4895 8^th Concession in Windsor
Regional Level: September 20th, 2008 at Croatia National Sport Club, 4895 8^th Concession in Windsor
