This New Way to Control Lighting

We use a microprocessor to control electronic switches which adjust the power supplied to fluorescent lamps and magnetic ballasts.

This microprocessor can accommodate several types of controls:

  • Manual control to set the desired lighting level

  • Automated control using photosensors to maintain a constant lighting level.

  • Intelligent control to adjust the lighting level to manage power consumption.

The power received by the lamp and ballast is adjusted by the microprocessor control in such a manner that light output remains proportional to the power over a wide range of light output. The consequence is that high efficiency is maintained.

The quality of the light is improved because the usual flicker of fluorescent lights is eliminated.
