A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... the assumed ruler of the planet Tatooine
Jabba The Hutt was perplexed.
He usually got his way and his droids, aliens and friends such as
Amanaman, Greedo, Bobba Fett and Ortugg kept him amused.
Although well known for his insatiable appetite his one secret desire was to be known
as the greatest hybridizer of daylilies on the planet.
But try as he might, with cross after cross, he just had no luck.
His goal, of course, was to have his daylilies named most popular
in that region of Tatooine.
The question was, how could he ensure his victory. Luckily his court jester
Salacious B. Crumb came up with a plan.
Instead of naming your daylilies after areas of the planet or the places
you’ve visited why not, he suggested, name your daylilies
after really nice people like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C3Po or Han Solo.
The voters will love it.
Better still name some after the leaders of the planet like Sandtrooper
or one of the Tuskens and that will I’m sure, guarantee that you win.
And so he did and the daylily gods smiled on him and life on Tatooine was good.
