Professionalism at an Affordable Price  

Fees have remained unchanged in over 11 years.  DEC has tried to distinguish itself from the chain schools by offering a free-form curriculum (a structured learning set which is easily adapted to the pace and the will of the class).  Curriculum is student-centred -- with an emphasis on variety and enjoyment.  By choosing a monthly payment system, there is no long-term commitment forced upon students.  Therefore, the student retains the power to continue to study, or not.

授業料は過去10年間変わっていません。DECはチェーンを展開する他の英会話学校とは異なり、各クラスのペースと意志に合わせ易い自由形式のカリキュラムを取り入れている点が特徴です。カリキュラムは学習者中心でバラエティに富み、楽しめるように工夫しています。また生徒の皆様に無理矢理長期的な契約をして頂くことがないよう、月謝制です。ですから勉強を継続するか、しないかは全く生徒の皆様の意志次第です。

Teaching Philosophy

All instruction is done in English only.  This applies to all classes, whether they are children’s classes or adults.  A Japanese teacher is utilized to ease the transition to English in some of the children’s classes, and a few of the beginner-level adult classes.

The English language is difficult to master and mastery comes in many forms.  There is no magic pill and fluency cannot be achieved in 6 months.  We take a very long-term approach to English, which makes it necessary that the classes are enjoyable, to maintain enthusiasm.

教授哲学

ネイティヴスピーカーによる授業はすべて英語のみで行います。これは子供のクラスでも成人クラスでも同じです。但し、英語へ移行し易いように子供のクラスと初級レベルの成人クラスにおいて日本人講師が教える場合もあります。

英語をマスターするのは容易いことではなく、また各人により目指す熟達度もさまざまです。英語を話せるようになる特効薬などなく、流暢に話せるようになるには6ヶ月では達成し得ないでしょう。私たちは英語に対して長期的なアプローチをとっています。そのため英語に対する熱意が持続するよう授業は楽しいものにしたいのです。
