Welcome to the new  EVIC Engine Home Page
Camless 4 Stroke Cycle I.C. Engines with Solenoid Operated Valves.
Until August 2009 you can still view my old EVIC  web site at:  http://rbowes1.11net.com/dbowes
Mechanically very simple camless engines with "Electronic Throttle" control.
  • No gears, camshaft, cams or push rods.  Reduced mechanical losses.  Fewer moving parts.
  • Reduces pumping losses and saves fuel.
  • Demonstrates that valve timing can be changed to control the engine's speed and power.
  • Gives a speed range of 1,800 to 10,000+ rpm without manifold throttling.
Simple low cost Micro computer control of the valve & ignition timing.
  • Electronics driving solenoids allow dynamic variations in valve timing, cycle skipping and DOD.
  • Very easy starting by holding the exhaust valve(s) open when cranking.
My EVIC -111 book presents a complete set of plans for a small 12.5 cc EVIC engine.  The book has mechanical parts drawings, the electronic control schematics and the software is included on a CD.  Several EVIC engines have already been built from these plans.
