Easier, Fully Adjustable and Still Cheap Enough Too Warm a Scotsman's Heart!
The old method of epoxying a stick of wood and
pinning it to board still works but we've found an even better way!
We got the idea from Art's experiences growing up on the farm where he learned to use bailing wire to fix everything.
Since most of us don't have bailing wire handy,
we substituted coat hanger wire instead.
Make sure you get a hanger out of your own clothes closet and not the wife's,
she'll know it's missing right away.
When gluing in a block of wood, you had to be pretty exact
to the hole, whereas with coat hanger, you just bend it until it fits.
Give yourself 8 or 10 inches of wire to play with.
The beauty of coat hanger, besides its cost, is that it can be bent
in any direction and retains it's shape.
This method is just about foolproof.
Its still a good idea to epoxy the wood stick to the PCell,
but now you can just tape it to the end of the coat hanger.
If you really want to get fancy,
epoxy a small plastic tube or plastic straw instead of wood
and you dont even have to use tape,
just slip it over the end of the coat hanger and bend the wire into position.
